Course Overview
This qualification prepares individuals to work as allied health assistants. You will develop the skills to support Allied Health Professionals in delivering therapy and health programs to clients in settings such as hospitals, aged care, disability services, and community environments.
You will work under supervision and follow instructions to assist with client care, identify risks, and report any concerns. Supervision may be direct, indirect, or remote, depending on workplace requirements and your level of experience.
You may work in one area or across multiple health disciplines, and in some roles, you may assist or guide other support staff within your scope of practice.
To achieve this qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of clinical placement in a real workplace setting.
Skills are applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.
